1. About these terms
These terms apply to repair services provided to schools and education providers in Australia by Device Services Pty Ltd (ABN 31 620 277 223) trading as iArmour, through its iArmour Repair division. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Device Services Pty Ltd trading as iArmour, and "you" and "your school" mean the school or education provider requesting the repair.
By requesting a quote, approving a quote or sending devices to us, you agree to these terms. Where your school or education department's purchase order terms apply to a repair, those terms take precedence over any inconsistent part of these terms.
2. Quotes
- Quotes are based on the device details and faults you give us, and are emailed to you for approval.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless the quote says otherwise.
- Prices are quoted in Australian dollars and exclude GST unless stated.
- If we find further faults once a device is assessed, we'll contact you with a revised quote before doing any extra work. Nothing extra is charged without your approval.
3. No fix, no fee
If we can't repair a device, you don't pay for the repair. If you decide not to go ahead with a revised quote, the device is returned to your school at no cost.
4. Collection and return
- Collection and return are free for schools within our service area.
- Please pack devices securely, using the labels we provide, and have them ready at the agreed time and place.
- Devices are tracked from collection to return. Responsibility for a device passes to us when our courier collects it, and back to your school when it's delivered.
- Please include only the devices listed for repair. Cases, chargers and accessories should only be sent if we ask for them.
5. Before you send devices
- Back up any data you need. Most repairs don't affect stored data, but data loss can occur during some repairs or because of the original fault.
- Tell us which devices are managed by your school's device management system, and work with us on passcodes and Activation Lock where needed.
- We never erase a device without your approval. If a repair can only be completed by erasing a device, we'll contact you first.
6. Repairs and parts
- Repairs are carried out by trained technicians using quality replacement parts suited to each repair.
- Replaced parts become our property and are recycled, or securely destroyed if they can hold data.
- Most repairs are usually completed within 72 hours of arriving at our repair facility. Some repairs take longer, for example when parts must be ordered. Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees.
7. Payment
- Every school automatically has a 30-day account when paying by purchase order. Invoices are due within 30 days of the invoice date.
- You can also pay by EFT or credit card.
- If an account becomes overdue, we'll contact your school and may pause new quotes until it's settled. Devices already in our care are always returned.
8. Lifetime warranty
Our lifetime warranty covers the parts we replaced and our workmanship, for as long as your school owns the repaired device. It doesn't cover:
- new physical damage, such as drops, cracks or liquid damage, after the repair
- faults in parts we didn't repair or replace
- devices that have since been opened or repaired by someone else
- normal wear, such as gradual battery ageing
To make a warranty claim, contact us with the device's serial number. We'll collect, assess and repair it at no cost if the fault is covered.
9. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Our lifetime warranty is in addition to your rights under the law.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of data, lost class time or loss of use, arising from a repair. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, it is limited to repairing the device again or refunding the repair cost.
11. Devices not collected or approved
If a quote isn't approved within 30 days, or we can't reach your school, we'll return the device unrepaired at no cost. School devices remain your school's property at all times, and we will never dispose of a device without your school's written approval. If a return can't be delivered, we'll hold the device securely and keep working with your school to return it.
12. iArmour Plus
Repairs for iArmour Plus schools are also subject to the iArmour Plus terms on iarmour.com.au. Plus repairs are submitted at iarmour.com.au.
13. Privacy
We handle personal information and device data as set out in our privacy policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you approve a quote applies to that repair.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
